Third time’s the charm

I’m trying to find a way to tie a Mean Girls quote into this but the only way I can pull it off is if another site pops up. (THIS IS NOT ENCOURAGEMENT, GUYS.)

Evidently not content with the Whitney-focused “559 for Real” or with submitting things to “Visalia Dick”, another Visalia Dick-alike has popped up, again focused on Whitney — with the name, rather creatively, being “Mt. Whitney Dick”.

With worse grammar than the first two, and the same exact site design and format, Mt. Whitney Dick is a total exercise in originality and creativity tha– okay, no, let’s stop even being sarcastic here, these copycat sites are getting OLD.

We’re not telling you to innovate in cyberbullying here, we’re telling you to either leave it to the guy who started it so that you don’t risk yourself getting caught up in a libel suit or being suspended/expelled for this stuff (CA law allows it, we’ve been over this) or otherwise just stop. Seriously.

Senior Class Picture: it’s not just for Yearbook anymore

(though Mr. Boucher deserves quite the commendation for letting me in his room to quickly upload one of the shots that a Newspaper photographer took. Also, Clarke deserves one too for letting me steal shots we wouldn’t have used. And one goes to the Newspaper photographer! In fact, EVERYBODY GETS A COMMENDATION)

This is the main shot. It’s not what Yearbook has. It’s either better or worse depending on how they decided to crop theirs and what camera they took theirs with etc but IT IS BASICALLY THE SAME THING AT A SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT ANGLE.

You can click on this picture or any of the pictures in this post to view them at a size that looks pretty on your screen.

After the event.

Homecoming was great. Even though we lost.

This is a fact.

Here’s a quick overview:

  • Jenny Taylor is your new Homecoming Queen, be sure to bow to her in the hallways.
  • Float results: 3rd Place: Freshman Float, 2nd Place: AVID, 1st Place: Pioneer Partners (once this was announced you could hear me yell “Link Crew got robbed!”) until.. ‘Grand Prize’: Link Crew
  • JV score: MW 24, Sanger 44.
  • Varsity score: MW 7, Sanger 28.
  • View a ton of pictures over at The Pioneer sometime Monday or Tuesday.

Oh, and you can view a ton of video after the jump.

By the way, before I cut this post off, I’d like to thank a lot of people:

  • Sherry over at CLEAR (formerly Clearwire), and CLEAR as a whole. CLEAR (and, last year, Clearwire) have given us loaner cards for every live broadcast we’ve done (a whole two!) — the quality of all of them have been top-notch thanks to their service and their generosity.. If you’re in the market for wireless internet, screw AT&T and Verizon. Go with CLEAR. Plus it’s unlimited. (Call ‘em up at 734-2006, too!)
  • HeadShot over at the VTD for calling me and telling me you could totally hear me joking around with my friends.
  • @JadedDAVe on Twitter for retweeting our Twitter adverts for the stream.
  • Mr. Hohne and Mrs. Corliss for letting this all go forward. They’re amazing. ‘Nuff said.
  • Justin.TV for not interrupting our stream with ads like Livestream and Ustream would have.
  • Oh, and Andrew & Damian over at the Times-Delta for letting me promote the stream in their liveblog. Their liveblogs are always great.
  • And, last but certainly not least, everyone who watched. We did it all for you!

Without further ado, let’s get to the videos. Again, click on that little “Read the rest of this entry” link to view ‘em.

A look at the redesigned campus & new library

So we’ve been talking on Twitter about going to the campus and taking pictures but let’s be honest it takes forever to edit and publish stuff.

(In fact, the only reason the site’s reopened is to post these pictures.)

So here! Have a look at what to expect when the year starts up. Pictures after the cut.

We’re back!

We’re back!

Early as usual. Fashionably late was never our deal, it’s better to be fashionably early.
